The blockchain network powering SELF App
SELF App runs on its own Celestial Constellation. A Constellation is a dedicated blockchain network configured on Celestial with its own identity, governance, economics and application model.
SELF App is the first live Celestial Constellation, demonstrating the architecture in production with real users.
What is Celestial?
Celestial is the platform and company behind configurable blockchain networks. A Celestial Constellation can provide:
- Proof-of-AI consensus designed around efficient, accessible validation;
- CPU-first participation without specialist mining hardware;
- configurable governance and economics for each network;
- sovereign identity and verifiable records;
- browser-based validation where the deployment supports it.
How SELF App participates
SELF App users can participate in the SELF App Constellation through the browser:
- Automatic validation — the browser runs the supported validator functions.
- Equal voting power — one validator has one vote rather than influence based on wealth.
- Prize Pool entries — eligible participation contributes entries to daily, weekly and monthly draws.
- Zero setup — participation is integrated into the application experience.

Proof-of-AI
Celestial uses Proof-of-AI rather than Proof-of-Work or Proof-of-Stake. Its intended characteristics include:
- AI block builders competing to create efficient blocks;
- equal validator voting power;
- CPU-first validation;
- fair transaction selection.
Relationship to Future Grid
Future Grid is Celestial's second active Constellation and its AI compute-control product. It begins with the Future Grid Observe early-access service and progresses through Observe, Optimize, Policy, Direct and Proof.
Future Grid is distinct from the SELF App Constellation, with its own services and purpose. Its services can use Constellation capacity, coordination and tamper-evident evidence where those capabilities add value.
Current status
The SELF App Constellation is operational in production:
- Proof-of-AI consensus is running;
- Prize Pool drawings are active;
- browser-based validation is deployed;
- the network provides SELF App's sovereign identity and verifiable record layer.
